Dr. Tammy Silva
Dr. Tammy Silva graduated from NYU Dental School, one of the top dental schools in the United States, in 1996.
She had the benefit of adistinguished professors and extensive clinical experience while studying.
After completing her DDS she was accepted in the General Residency program at Columbia University Dental School.
In recognition of her outstanding professional achievements in the program, she was chosen to be the Chief Dental Resident the following year and had the responsibility of supervising 20 residents.
In the course of her dental work, Dr. Silva also carried out research in the field of Endodontics as a result of which she published a research paper which examined various methods of measuring distances within the jaw and their implications for root canal procedures. This interest in Endodontics led her to a two year residency program at Columbia. This intense specialty program gave her the opportunity to do hundreds of difficult endodontic procedures and gave her great proficiency in her field. She graduated from the Endodontics Residency program in 2000. Dr. Silva worked as an Endodontist in private practice in the United States in the New York City area. She was often called in by other dentists who had difficulties completing endodontic procedures.
Dr. Silva and her husband, Dr. Chaim Silva, made Aliyah to Modiin in 2003, where they still live with their five sons. After coming to Israel, she also volunteered at Yad Sarah, treating underprivileged patients. She has worked at KJ since 2015 and contributes to the high quality of dentistry and professionalism the practice has to offer.
